General
Where does Lightworx operate?
We are headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a strong operational footprint in the Southeast. We are actively scaling our teams to support fiber initiatives nationally. Contact us to discuss mobilization for your specific market.
Do you perform in-home internet installations?
No. Lightworx is an infrastructure-only partner. We build the network (OSP backbone, distribution, and MDU pathways) and run drops to the demarc, but we do not handle in-home customer activation or residential services.
Who are your primary clients?
We work directly with Network Operators, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and Infrastructure Owners who need consistent engineering, construction, or maintenance support.
Can I hire you for just one phase, like maintenance?
Yes. While we offer a full “Plan-Build-Maintain” lifecycle, our services are modular. You can engage us strictly for engineering, construction capacity, or ongoing maintenance/restoration coverage depending on your gaps.
How do you handle emergency restoration?
We provide 24/7 Break-Fix and restoration support. Our teams work within your existing escalation framework to diagnose issues, repair fiber cuts, and provide root-cause reporting to get your network back online fast.
Do you handle MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) builds?
Yes. We specialize in MDU infrastructure, including pathway creation, riser installation, conduit running, and equipment room preparation. We ensure the building is fully fiber-ready for your install teams.
Are you hiring crews or subcontractors?
We are always looking for safety-focused professionals to join our team, from planners to field crews. Visit our Careers page to see current openings or to submit your details for future consideration.
Services
Do you work within our existing project management systems?
Yes. We are built to integrate into multi-vendor ecosystems. Whether you use specific GIS platforms, construction management software, or ticketing systems for Break-Fix, our teams adapt to your workflows to ensure data stays consistent and visibility remains high.
What does a typical "handover" package look like?
We believe the job isn’t done until the paperwork is approved. Our turnover packages typically include red-lined construction prints, digital as-builts (mapped to your specs), OTDR/Power Meter test results, and sequential photos of the build, all organized for easy ingest into your records.
Can you handle "Make-Ready" engineering and coordination?
Yes. Our planning team handles the heavy lifting of utility coordination. We conduct pole loading analysis, submit permit applications, and manage the make-ready engineering process to clear the path for construction, reducing delays before crews even hit the field.
How do you ensure quality control across different regions?
Consistency is our core product. We use a standardized quality control checklist for every phase, from depth checks in underground builds to splice loss verification. Our field supervisors conduct spot inspections, and we provide photographic evidence of critical milestones (like vault placement and depth markers) to ensure the build meets spec.
Are your services turnkey or labor-only?
We are flexible. We can execute turnkey projects (managing the entire scope from design to restoration) or provide specialized labor capacity to reinforce your existing internal teams for a specific surge in Planning, Construction, or Maintenance.
How quickly can you mobilize for a new market?
We are built for scalability. While timelines depend on scope and location, our expansion model allows us to deploy leadership teams and crews rapidly. Contact us with your target market, and we can provide a realistic mobilization timeline.
